Lenox Mansfield Christmas Table

Taking another Santa from our collection as the inspiration to this week's table, Pat used Lenox "Mansfield" dinnerware with black accents to make an elegant and somewhat formal Christmas table.
The color theme is black, brown, gold and ivory

Pat used black tulle under the centerpiece to give it more definition
Instead of a traditional napkin ring, Pat used gold ties to match Santa's cord around his gift sack

Once again, Pat used two chargers - this one is a "Black" Fiesta(ware) Chop plate
Always a favorite, the antique gold charger is from Tuesday Morning
Black goblets are "Midnight Black" by Artland Glass
Satin finish flatware is "Meridian" by Cambridge from Bed, Bath, and Beyond

One last look from the other end of the table

Where it came from:
Antique Gold Charger - from Tuesday Morning two or three years ago
Black Charger Plate - "Black" Fiesta(ware) Chop Plate by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com
Dinnerware - "Mansfield" by Lenox from Pat's daughter and from Replacements.com and eBay
Black Accent Plate and Bread/Butter Plate - "Black" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Macy's
Flatware - "Meridian" by Cambridge from Bed, Bath, and Beyond two years ago
Glassware - "Midnight Black" by Artland Glass from Target years ago
Small Gold Gift Package Ornaments and Gold Decorative Balls - from Pier 1 several years ago
Gold Candles, Small Tree, Ornaments, and Napkin Tie - from Michael's
Candle Holders - from our collection

This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

Stay safe.

  1. That elegant Santa inspired a lovely tablescape. The colors are certainly not "traditional" Christmas colors but with Santa as the centerpiece, they work well. I love the black tulle in the center of the table, what a simple but effective touch. I love seeing your Santas, and look forward to more Santa tables in the weeks to come.

  2. What a peaceful, elegant table! I imagine this as the setting for a quiet late supper for adult friends! I have come to appreciate the company of adult acquaintances (because Zoom is all we've got right now!) since we really have not been able to have those casual, yet lovely, late suppers together for so very long. I am always so happy to see your posts. I think of you often and hope and pray that you are all doing well. I enjoy your blog so much and it has even more meaning to me in these times. My world has certainly been shrinking. Our little town is not what it once was. Last week we went for a drive to a nearby city. No intention of getting out of our vehicle, just a 'sight-seeing' drive to simulate getting away. Once there, we discovered that our favorite restaurant there is out of business. They just could not survive all of the shut downs and restrictions. We would have only been able to carry-out food from a curbside pick up situation, but, mainly we just feel so badly for the folks who owned it and who worked there. Now, it is lost and gone forever. There is less and less for us to return to after this viral menace is one day, at last, vanquished. Please keep setting inspiring tables. I dream of the future!
