Lenox Winter Greetings Table

For our final Christmas season table, Pat used Lenox "Winter Greetings" china (which features different birds on holiday greenery.) It makes a simple but elegant table.

Flatware is "Broadway" by Argent

We found the glassware on a sale shelf at Pier 1 a few years ago - less than $1.00 each

One last look
Where it came from:
Ecru Lace Place Mats - from Lentz Department Store (a really neat local store now sadly out of business) years ago
Chinese Red Charger - inexpensive lacquer chargers spray painted with plastic adhesive spray paint
Dinnerware - "Winter Greetings" by Lenox from Wayfair, Replacements.com and eBay
Gold Flatware - "Broadway" by Argent Orfevres from TJMaxx several years ago
Glassware - from Pier 1 three or four years ago
Gold Napkin Ring - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond four or five years ago
Ivory Napkins - handmade by Pat to match the place mats
Centerpiece - from Michael's sale shelf two years ago
Santas - from our collection

This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

  1. Years ago I began collecting the Winter Greetings accent plates. I finally have all 8 birds. Alas, it has been so costly that I do not have any other Winter Greetings! I have four accent mugs and it looks like that will be all I ever get. The mugs are difficult to find and very expensive. Never mind though---I use vintage Lenox from 1948 as chargers. It has that lovely green outer band and the gold wheat in the center. Lenox Wheat (R-442) was my very first china. Now I have, as they say, a boatload of that pattern! It is versatile and I have acquired along the way the green banded plates and some lovely blue banded plates that also work so well as chargers for my Winter Greetings accent plates. I always enjoy your tables! Merry Christmas to you and best wishes for a wonderful New Year!

  3. How beautiful! That charger is the perfect shade to pull out the red berries and ribbons on the plates. As always, the details of your table settings are lovely. Merry Christmas!
