Esther the Wonder Pig Tablescape

We've done "pig" tablescapes before on our blog, but today's table is very special to me. If you have never heard of Esther the Wonder Pig, do yourself a favor and check her out on Facebook (at Esther the Wonder Pig), her website Esther of the Wonder Pig (Here), or at Happily Ever Esther (Here). She will delight you with her grace, wisdom, style, and courage. (She just went through a battle with cancer and, fortunately, came out OK. Of course, I cried like a baby through it all....)

Pat created a formal table to celebrate Esther - one I know Esther would love.
Pat mixed silver flatware, Depression Ware glasses, and pink roses to set the formal tone for the table

"Pig power" took center stage with two hand painted, resin pig garden sculptures from Design Toscano. They are surrounded by a rose filled garland and five, small individual rose bouquets in vases.

White napkins are covered with chiffon overlays - Esther would love it. She dresses up in chiffon (and other things) for special occasions.

Naturally, the pig accent plate (from American Atelier) will be removed before dinner - we would never eat on Esther.....

Dinner will be served on the "White" Fiesta(ware) luncheon plate by Homer Laughlin

The pink dinner plate ("Pearl Pink" by JCPenney) is used as a charger plate

These guys are adorable. See their tails? Sweet Esther's was brutally cropped off before she came to live at the sanctuary.

A table full of roses for Lady Esther.....

  1. I love this table! So whimsical and fun - and any time pink Depression glass can be used, I'm a fan. Now I need to go read about Esther, but I think you've created a great tribute table for her.
