Mother's Day Table

I'm calling this week's table a "Mother's Day" table because our Mom would have loved it  - the dinnerware is Johnson Brother's "Winchester." Pat and I found it while out "thrifting" a few weeks ago (the second set of three that we found.) Each piece was individually priced at $1.00 or so and we got an almost complete set for eight. The few missing pieces were easily located on eBay and Replacements.com. (needless to say, at a bit more money.....)




The flatware is "Wind Song" silverplate by Oneida - Pat picked up on the scrolls from the wooded charger


Pat tried other colored chargers but settled on pink.


The pink charger is a newer "Rose" Fiesta(ware) chop plate (1986-2005) by Homer Laughlin

Not a favorite of Pat's, the very popular carved wood charger from Pier 1 accented the place setting 



Inexpensive Dollar Tree water and wine goblets seemed like the perfect choice for thrift store dinnerware.......

Pat took the silk arrangement on my bedroom dresser for an easy centerpiece

    What a gorgeous tablescape for Mother's Day. It's in honor of your dear mother, but hey! all mothers would love it too.
    The Johnson Bros. china is gorgeous, I am so partial to JB, or transferware. It goes beautifully with the pink chargers and the pretty white placemats.

    Oh, wow, this table is calling my name. I love transferware, too, and this china is so pretty. The pink charger plates are perfect, as are the pink glass candlesticks. I was thinking of doing a pink and white table soon, and you have affirmed my desire to do so. Happy Mother's Day!

    This table would have made your mom and any mom proud. I'm always surprised by the number of really lovely patterns made my Johnson Brothers. The charming Winchester is perfect for Spring with its wonderful clear colors. Thanks for inviting us for a peek. Cherry Kay

    Love this Johnson Brothers pattern. What a gorgeous table and very appropriate for Mother's Day, which I always think of having pink roses!
