A Healthy Tablescape

To me, Summer means lots of fresh vegetables direct from the garden. I don't grow a garden, but fortunately for me, my sister and her husband do - and it is always prolific! I get to "share" in the bounty every year. Armed with lots of vegetables, Pat showed up to my house this morning and set about designing the table for this week:
Pat started with a burlap runner down the center of the table

OK - the cauliflower, mushrooms and eggplant are from the grocery store. And the cabbage Pat provided was way, way too big to use so I had to go buy a smaller one to fit with the vegetable-theme centerpiece.

The "vegetable" plates are from Pier 1 last year. I found the salad plates first - got them for a steal.....then I went back into the store several days later, and there was the dinner plates marked even cheaper.

Flatware is "Montana" by Gourmet Settings

These huge chargers are "Fun Factory" by Waechtersbach

The candles are the same color as the yellow pepper

From the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Burlap Runner - Mail order from Linen Tablecloth
Charger - Red "Fun Factory" by Waechtersbach from eBay and Replacements.com
Flatware - "Montana" by Gourmet Settings from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Dinnerware - "Fresco" from Pier 1 last year
Bread/Butter Plate - Scarlett Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com
Glassware - "Lawrence" from Pier 1 three years ago
Napkins - Handmade by Pat
Napkin Ring - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago
Marigold Candles - from Ross several years ago

  1. So,beautiful I love the variety you come up with each week. I really look forward to your weekly Tablescapes. Such inspiration Do you try to serve food the goes with the theme ? And do you use the setting for one day or for a few days. There is so much work and thought that goes into each tablescape. I would be afraid of people using the knifes on the dishes. They are too pretty to use
