'Twas the Night Before Christmas Table

Pat's inspiration for this week's table was taken from Clement Clark Moore's immortal poem "The Visit" or more commonly known as "Twas the Night Before Christmas."



Bright and cheery, this table captures the spirit of a fun Christmas


Ceramic handled "Primary" flatware is by Noritake


We found these dishes on the sale shelf at Pier 1 two years ago










Pat used two "elves" for the centerpiece

This is Walter, one of Santa's older elves, reading "Twas the Night Before Christmas"




Old books covered in brown wrapping paper raised the trees slightly

    This table is so cute -- those elves are great! No matter how I try to use other color combinations for Christmas tables, I always find myself returning to the traditional red and green. I like the way you used overlapping placemats to bring in both colors. The dishware reminds me of peppermint stripes. I love all of your Christmas tables -- keep them coming, please!

    Love, love, love the striped dinnerware! I think it could be used both ways..in a whimsical tablescape and in a traditional red and green tablescape. I adore Walter! I love peppermint sticks or candy canes and this reminds me of them! Such a fun table!
