Baseball World Series Table

It's that time of year - the World Series is on - not that Pat nor I take a lot of interest in the games, but it is a great excuse for a table design. Here's what she came up with:
The table

Pat placed the settings on a "diamond"
Flatware is matte finish "Vault" by Gourmet Settings

Pat made the baseball-theme napkins

Napkin rings are simple PVC pipe cut into 1" rounds, spray painted black, and small craft baseball bats were attached with hot glue.

The accent plates are "Baseball" by Homer Laughlin

The "stack" consists of the Homer Laughlin "Baseball" accent plate, "Chocolate" Fiesta luncheon plate also by Homer Laughlin, "Cowboy Reflections" beige plate trimmed in brown by Montana Lifestyles, and a "Burgundy" Color Spectrum Charger by Mikasa

Glassware is inexpensive Dollar Store water glass and beer pilsner

We found these neat salt and pepper shakers on eBay - by Hallmark

Peanuts anyone????

Pat's daughter found the small baseball bats through Amazon - we left the blue bands on for the Royals....

And to Alycia Nichols at Tables at Table Twenty-One (Here), "this one's for you....")
Sorry, Alycia, the hat's not blue.....but here's hoping that you are getting better. We couldn't help but think of you as the Royals made it to the Series. We miss you.

Where it came from:
Tablecloth - from Linentablecloth.com (we discovered this site thanks to Alycia - it has hundreds of inexpensive tablecloths, chargers, napkins, etc. - everything to decorate a table and you don't feel like you've spent too much.)
Green Placemats - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Burgundy Chargers - "Burgundy" Color Spectrum by Mikasa from eBay and Replacements
Brown trimmed Dinner Plates - "Cowboy Reflections" by Montana Lifestyles from Replacements
Brown Luncheon Plates - "Chocolate" Fiesta by Homer Laughlin from Macy's
Baseball Accent Plates - "Baseball" by Homer Laughlin from Pat's daughter (on loan....)
Bread/Butter Plates - "Cinnabar" Fiesta by Homer Laughlin from Replacements
Baseball Napkins and Burgundy colored Napkins - Handmade by Pat
Napkin Rings - PVC pipe cut into 1" rounds, spray painted black and craft baseball bats attached
Small Craft Baseball Bats - from eBay
Flatware - "Vault" by Gourmet Settings from Costco years ago
Glassware - from the Dollar Store
White Pedestal bowl - from Target
Glass Cylinders - from Michael's

  1. Oh, ladies, how clever! Great idea turning the placemat so it resembles a diamond; love the napkins and napkin rings; and love the "baseball plate"! It is always so nice to see your post come up because I know you'll deliver creativity and a special dining space! Thank you.......Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
