Roosters and Sunflowers Tablescape

Since it is County Fair time in our area, Pat thought it would be fun to do a "farm" table this week. So, she pulled out an assortment of animal plates and decided on roosters. Here is the table that she came up with:

Pat used rustic "Montana" flatware by Gourmet Settings

Vintage Cobalt Fiesta luncheon plate

Spice Route Paprika dinner plate is from Pier 1

We found these denim chargers on sale at Michael's for less than 50 cents each - then we got the "senior discount" (one of the few "advantages" to aging......)

Pat says that we probably have been using these placemats too much, but they were the perfect choice for this table

Only my sister would turn a chicken feeder into a candle holder......

Naturally, it was filled with chicken feed

I love these whimsical glasses from Pier 1

This very old rooster belonged to our Mother and sat outside on the porch. Pat's husband took it home and "lovingly" restored it.

The napkin "ring" is a vintage shower curtain ring that Pat's husband spray painted rust to match the napkin.

A view from the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Coco twig Placemats - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Denim Chargers - from Michael's clearance shelf
Rust Colored Dinner Plate - "Spice Route" Paprika from Pier 1

Glassware - "Sphere" from Pier 1 two or three years ago
Flatware - "Montana" by Gourmet Settings from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Denim and Rust Colored Napkins - Handmade by Pat
Napkin Rings - Vintage Wooden Shower Curtain Rings from a yard sale spray painted Rust
Hay, Cracked Corn, and Chicken Feeders - from one of our local feed stores

We will also be joining Susan for "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:

I don't usually "get on the bandwagon" when I am blogging, but I'm in "Bread and Butter Plate mourning".....Homer Laughlin is no longer producing those colorful little gems, and as most people know, I am nuts about bread and butter plates. So, after waiting for a very long time for the color "sage" to be produced, I am not going to be able to get the much anticipated bread/butter plate. What a diabolical disaster (yeah, I know, it sounds like Batman, but it's how I feel)!!!!
Just some of the Fiesta that Pat and I own......the bread/butter plates are in another cupboard.

  1. That is a nice collection of Fiesta! I look forward to your tablescapes each week. Love the table for one!
