Bronze Charger Tablescape

Several months ago, Pat and I walked into Pier1 and found eight unusual square chargers on sale. As usual, we disagreed about them ("SALE" is a four-letter word I can't refuse. Pat is much more "reserved") - so, naturally, within minutes, they were wrapped and on their way home to my house. There they sat. That is until today. Pat pulled them out and within minutes set the table. Here's what she came up with:
Over view of the table

The place setting

Pat used sleek, simple stainless flatware - "Everyday" by Reed & Barton

The place setting starts with a squared soup bowl

Pat wrapped the beige napkin around the salad plate

The chargers are glossy - you can see the reflection from the light above

These are one of my favorite glasses - from Pier 1 a couple of years ago

Lanterns are a gift from my Niece

Pat "rummaged" around the house and came up with the centerpiece

One last look from the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Tablecloth and Napkin - Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Bronze Charger - Pier 1
Glass Dishware - "Milano" by Pasabahce from Tuesday Morning
Glassware - Pier 1
Flatware - "Everyday" by Reed & Barton from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Lanterns - Gift from my Niece
Centerpiece - Pat rummaged around my house......

We will be joining Susan at "Between Naps on the Porch" this Thursday:

  1. I love those chargers. That aged bronze color is one of my favorite metallic shades. I also like the waffle pattern tablecloth. The tablescape is beautiful in its simplicity, and one would never guess that Pat had misgivings about purchasing the chargers!

  2. What a dynamic tablescape. Everything is to perfection...the chargers look great with your choice of dinnerware and centerpiece and, of course, there are those wonderful glasses. Awesome!

  3. I love the shape of the bronze chargers hargers and the goblets' stems. I love the way the "geometry" of the tablescape relates: the handles of the goblets, the shape of the shanks on the flatware, the napkin fold, the plates, the shape of the table, and the shape of the lantern. Nice job!

  4. How fresh and modern.....Love this tablescape... It's totally original and so welcoming. Great job!
