Uniquely Yellow Valentine Tablescape

As most people know, we love tablescapes using out of the ordinary color combinations. So, naturally, Valentine's Day is no exception. This week's table uses my favorite color - yellow. Yes, it's not the typical color that you think of for Valentine's Day, but it was fun to use.

Disclaimer:  If the pictures are out of focus, I apologize. I just got back from the Ophthalmologist where I had my eyes dilated for the exam (you know how much fun that is.....)  I can hardly see but the sun is finally out after several days of wet, gray weather [which is a blessing and a curse when your pupils are enormous but you are enduring a severe drought and need rain] - anyway, it was now or never to get pictures of the table. I can't wait to see what the blog and the table look like tomorrow when I can see.......

The place setting

Flatware is "April" silverplate by Wm. Rogers & Son

Pat added small, individual arrangements of daffodils to each place setting

The place setting started with this small white appetizer plate

Next is a Fiesta "Sunshine" salad plate

The dinner plate is "Racine" by Hutschenreuther

Pat added bright yellow ribbon for more color

of course, heart-shaped votive holders for Valentine's Day

The centerpiece is simple yellow heart-shaped boxes (later for the guests to take home) stacked on a clear glass cake stand

The gift boxes are topped with an elegant small rose arrangement

One last look from the other end of the table
