Blue and White Tablescape

Try as we might, it seems we cannot set a table without using at least one Fiesta plate (the iconic American-made and vastly popular dinnerware by Homer Laughlin.) This week is no exception. We tried other plates.....lots of them, but to no avail. The Fiesta Cobalt Blue dinner plate is the only plate that "fit" perfectly into our color scheme. So, without any apologies, here goes another table - albeit different in style and theme from other tables that we have done recently.
Over view of the table

Close up of the place setting

Pat had to mix the flatware up a bit......much to my dismay - way out of my comfort zone

Pat chose this wild accent plate as the starting point for the table this week

Next layer is a simple rimmed white salad plate from Kohl's

Next is the ever present Fiesta dinner plate - this time Post 1986 Cobalt Blue. I swear the plate is brand new even though it looks battered in this photo.

I love these chargers - not one of Pat's favorites, but she used it anyway

Simple, over sized glassware from the Dollar Store

Down the center......

Pat bought herself a present the other day - this fantastic rolled bowl from our favorite local antique store

Then Pat used six blue and white Dansk candle holders to carry out the blue and white theme

One last look at the table from the other end
Where it came from:
White Tablecloth - gift from Pat
Navy Blue Placemats - Bed, Bath, and Beyond
White Charger - Maryland China Company
Cobalt Blue Dinner Plate - Post 1986 Cobalt Blue Fiesta by Homer Laughlin from Macy's
White Salad Plate - by Food Network from Kohl's
Blue/White Accent Plate - by the English Pottery Company from Ross
Navy/White Ceramic Flatware - by Noritake from eBay and Replacements
White Bread/Butter Plate - "Everyday White" from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
White Napkins - Target
Glassware - Dollar Store
Candle Holders - by Dansk from Pat's personal collection
White Centerpiece Bowl - from Art & Old Things in Fortuna, CA (our favorite antique store)

Thank you Kathleen (from Cuisine Kathleen) for hosting last week's challenge. We had a lot of fun. We will be joining her again this Wednesday night:  http://www.cuisinekathleen.com/
