Updated Green "Twisted Optic" Depression Glass Tablescape

Before we take a break on posting more Depression Glass tablescapes, Pat wanted to set one more table using our "Twisted Optic" dinnerware from the Imperial Glass Company. Manufactured around 1927 through 1930, it is still very popular and widely available. Over the years, we have mixed it with many other patterns of dinnerware and many other styles of settings (casual, modern, rustic, formal, etc.)

Pat started with a bright, bold place mat to set the tone of the table

Flatware is "Wind Song" silverplate by Oneida

The charger is actually an 11 1/2 inch dinner plate by Food Network - to me, it is just a bit too big to use it for everyday

Pink American Sweetheart Depression Glass Tablescape

Another tablescape featuring Depression Glass this week - this time Pat used American Sweetheart by the MacBeth-Evans Glass Company. Manufactured from 1930 to 1936, the pattern is a soft pink color. The dinnerware looks fragile and quite delicate but it is extraordinarily long lasting and strong as shown by how much of it is still available.

Pat started with another floral place mat that we found at Amazon - this one is slightly off-white with tones of pink.

The plates are scalloped and the pressed center design has been described as "intricate paisleys, scrolls and curlicue shapes" Shown here is a salad plate, dinner plate, and acting as the charger, a 12" salver.

The similar-in-shape glassware is an assortment of Depression Ware patterns

The very large centerpiece bowl is almost 14" across and is exceedingly heavy. Lined with both a sage and a chiffon napkin, it holds baby pink ornaments

Teal "Swirl" Depression Glass Tablescape

Since we have a nice collection of various patterns of Depression glass, we want to feature some in the next few weeks as we set the table for our blog. For the first table, Pat wanted to use "Ultra Marine Swirl" by the Jeannette Glass Company. 

I admit it - I did not iron the place mats.....but I want to show the inspiration teal color

Bright Bold Last of Summer Bouquet

Fall is just around the corner and we wanted to set one last "splashy" table with lots of color. Our brother's granddaughter was here and she and Pat set this week's tablescape with that in mind.

This is a Lemongrass Fiesta(ware) "Bistro" luncheon plate by Homer Laughlin

The dinner plate is "Turquoise" Fiesta(ware) [introduced in 1986 and still active]

The unique candle holders are by Westmoreland Glass Company
