Victorian Christmas Table

We planned to set a whimsical table this week....but as things often happen, it turned into something totally different.
Definitely more formal than was planned, this week's table was inspired by the Victorian-styled Santa centerpiece

Pat and her husband spent the Thanksgiving Day holiday with their daughter - big mistake for a dishaholic. There is a Macy's in Jennifer's town and it had lots of Fiesta(ware) in stock.......we now have complete sets of "Slate" and "Claret."

The large salad plate is "The Burbs-Slate" by Dansk.

The glass candle holders belonged to our parents. Every year, Dad would pull them out and decorate the table with them.

Where it came from:
Antique Gold Chargers - from Tuesday Morning (but available at Pier 1)
Black Chargers - "Color Spectrum" by Mikasa from eBay and Replacements
Dinner and Salad Plates - "Claret" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Macy's this season
Gray Salad Plate - "The Burbs - Slate" by Dansk from Tuesday Morning last year
Flatware - Black "San Remo" by Hampton Forge from Horchow's last year
Napkins - from a local Department store now out of business
Glassware - from Pier 1 several years ago
Victornia Santa - from Pierson's Building Center (a local store that goes "way out" for Christmas every year)
Glass Cylinders (Hurricane Style) - from our Parents (many, many years old)
Greenery, Candles, Antique Gold Gift Boxes, and Ornaments - from Michael's

We will be joining the following Blog parties this week:
"Dishing It! & Digging It!" at Rustic & Refined this Sunday:  http://www.rustic-refined.com/

  1. I absolutely love your tablescape! Your chargers are gorgeous and I really like the little presents you have on each table setting. Thank you for sharing with us at Dishing It & Digging It :)
