Christmas Gold Rush Tablescape

What started out to be a silver tablescape somehow "morphed" into a gold one.....I don't know how, but it happened. Anyway, it turned out gawdy and glitzy, but it was fun to do. So, with our apologies to those who like a more reserve table, here goes:

Over view of the table

The place setting

Handles on the flatware match the charger

First layer of the place setting is an ivory colored lace napkin wrapped in a gold overlay held by a gold and pearl napkin ring

We love this plate (and probably use it too much) - from Pier 1 last year

The pattern is "Mansfield" by Lenox - only thing on the table that is slightly "reserved"

We found the "Baroque-style" chargers at Michael's this year

Another item we probably use too much is the Amber Crackle glassware from Pier 1

Although it does not show well, the Reindeer are covered in gold glitter

As most of you know, on our other Blog, we are featuring a different Santa and different tablescape everyday until Christmas. Gold Santa is just one we couldn't use.

The candle holders match the glassware - amber crackle

One last look....
Where it came from:
Christmas Tablecloth - from our collection
Gold Chargers - Michael's this year
Ivory and Gold Dinnerware - "Mansfield" by Lenox from Replacements and eBay
Gold Salad Plate and Bowl - Pier 1 last year
Gold Flatware - by Rogers & Son from eBay (pattern unknown)
Glassware - "Amber Crackle" from Pier 1
Ivory Lace Napkin - from Art & Old Things (a local antique store)
Gold Napkin Overlay - Handmade by Pat
Gold Santa  - part of our collection
Gold Garland, Poinsettia, Berries, Reindeer, Candles - Michael's
Amber Crackle Candle Holders - Ross

We will be joining Cuisine Kathleen's "Let's Dish" this Wednesday:  http://www.cuisinekathleen.com/

  7. Gorgeous!! I love all of the gold and your beautiful Santa centerpiece. I was sad to see those gold plates from Pier I - I bought four last year to use on my 2014 Mardi Gras table. One of them broke, when I placed another piece of china on it. Pier I was sold out, so I am left with only three! Yours look wonderful with the rest of your setting and I do not think you can ever use those or your glasses enough. They are show-stoppers! Merry Christmas!!
