Monotone Mid-Century Modern Tablescape

This week's table is a quite a change from the usual kind we do - Pat loves color and likes to use lots of it in her tablescapes (for example, together, we own over 25 different colors of Fiestaware just so we can "mix".) But the tablescape this time is basically tones of beige and brown - and not a piece of Fiestaware in sight.

My job? Once again- I was on "iron duty" - me and my Rowenta iron are close friends.......

Close up of the place setting

Flatware is "Windsong" Silverplate by Nobility

The sepia colored china is from a German porcelain company called Heinrich & Co.

All the plates have this gray/brown flower design

The glittery chargers are from Pier 1

I fell in love with the glassware - from Pier 1 (By the way, yes, that is a Christmas tree in the background - don't panic......I don't normally have the tree up this early, but with everything going on, I only had one weekend that help was available to come in to set it up. So, there it sits.)

Pat saw these candle holders at a local antique store for $16 a pair - she walked to the next antique store down the street and bought them there for $2.50

Pat used the soup tureen to hold the flower arrangement

One last look from the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Brown Placemats - Tuesday Morning
Flatware - "Windsong" by Nobility Silverplate from eBay
Beige Glitter Charger - from Pier 1
Dinnerware - "Sepia" by Heinrich & Co from a local antique store out of business and fill-in pieces from Replacements
Glassware - "Urban Sable" from Pier 1
Napkins - Handmade by Pat
Candle Holders - from a local antique boutique
Candles - "Carmel" from the Ferndale Emporium (a nifty local gift/gadget store)
Silk Flowers - Michael's

We will be joining Cuisine Kathleen's "Let's Dish" this Wednesday:  http://www.cuisinekathleen.com/

  2. My granddaughter's favorite color is gray - she would love this table, as much as I do. Beautiful job, as always. The stemware is so interesting and my mother used to have those candle holders. I wish I knew what happened to them. Can't wait to see the decorated Christmas tree!!

  3. Even though I am not a huge fan of mid century modern, I find your table strikingly beautiful. Great use of monotones. The stemware is beautiful! Thanks for making me like something out of my box!

  6. Oh, my goodness, you ladies are remarkable! Every time I look at your blogs I marvel at the creativity, variety, the utter "completeness" of the look for which you have planned. You are both so inspirational, and you push me to think out of my comfort zone at a look or color scheme I might not even consider. Thank you for sharing your remarkable efforts.
