Summertime Fiesta Dinnerware Tablescape

Pat and I planned to do a seashell tablescape this week, but it seems that everyone else thought about doing the same thing last week. So, we "switched gears" and decided to do another summertime table. And, since next week is Cuisine Kathleen's "White" challenge (white dishes and only one other color), Pat wanted to use lots of color this week.
Over view of the table

Pat started with the placemat and used it to select the colors of the plates - Fiesta dinnerware, naturally, since it comes in a variety of colors

First layer of the place setting is a peacock colored napkin held by a bright, metal butterfly napkin ring.

Next layer is a Sunshine Yellow colored Fiesta Salad plate

Flamingo colored Fiesta Luncheon plate follows

A Peacock colored Fiesta Dinner plate holds it all

The simple but sweet shiny stainless flatware is called "Everyday" by Reed and Barton

Pat and I went shopping this week - we couldn't resist these new glasses from Pier 1

Pat picked up the blue color from the placemats to use for some of the candles

Everyday mason-style canning jars serve as vases

One last look from the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Plaid Placemats - Pier 1 last Spring
Flatware - "Everyday" by Reed and Barton from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
All Dinnerware - Fiesta by Homer Laughlin from Kohl's, Replacements, and direct from the manufacturer (Web site)
Glassware - "Bayonne" from Pier 1 last week
Napkins - Handmade by Pat
Butterfly Napkin Rings - Pier 1 two years ago
Votive Holders - Pat's collection
Votive candles - both Ross and Bed, Bath, and Beyond

We will be joining Cuisine Kathleen's "Let's Dish" this Wednesday:  http://www.cuisinekathleen.com/

  3. This is a TON of luscious color, and I love it!!! The placemats make the perfect jumping off element for the fiesta of Fiestaware down the length of the table. Using a butterfly was a great way to incorporate a nod to nature's colorful gifts! I like how you broke up the color with the white tablecloth and flowers. Very, very nice!!!

I'm sorry that I'll miss your white table next week, but have fun creating it!
