Black and Beige Tablescape

This week's tablescape is the exact opposite of last week's bold, bright orange table. Pat wanted to use Ivory colored Fiestaware - it's a basic color that goes well with with most other colors. She paired it with black after recently finding a set of beautiful black/beige placemats at Tuesday Morning.
Over view of the table. Pat did not use a tablecloth allowing the natural light wood of the farm table to show through.

The place setting

Pat used black stemmed water and champagne goblets

A black napkin surrounds a beige one with gold beads. It is held together by a napkin ring in the same colors from Pier 1.

First layer of the place setting is a square soup bowl in a matte finish from World Market

An ivory colored Fiestaware Luncheon plate by Homer Laughlin is next

A very glossy black Waechtersbach Fun Factory dinner plate holds the luncheon plate

The charger is actually a gold/brown color

Flatware is one of our favorites - "Image" by Spode

Pat used a very simple centerpiece. She found these clever candle holders at a local thrift store.

  3. This table is bold, simple, and elegant! Even though I love color, every once in a while I like to stick with neutrals for something different, and your table shows that neutral colors can be memorable! I love those glittery chargers, and the striped place mats. A very inspiring table once again!

  4. I love the drama of this table. The blind tasting glasses are the perfect pieces to set off the scheme. It's also so perfect in the space. xo marlis

  5. You certainly cannot ignore this table - it screams, "Drama!!". Love the place setting, especially the black glasses and napkin rings. My favorite pieces are the chargers, though. I have charger-envy over those - lol!! Beautifully done!
