Orange and Blue Tablescape

Have you ever had to eat crow ? Especially because of your older sister?? Well, it has happened to me. When my sister came to me with the idea of orange chargers for tablescaping, I told her that I thought the idea was awful and that we would never use them. Sure, Halloween, maybe.......but please, everyone does orange for that holiday. But, we went ahead and asked her husband to spray paint 12 previously beautiful lacquer chargers in this very very orange color. Oh, good grief. And then I proceeded to put them away - far, far away to never be thought of again. Well, time moved on......

This week's table features lots of color including bright orange. Lot's of orange. Pat pulled out the long forgotten orange chargers along with many other bright colors and put a very cheery table together. And my favorite part of the table? Yes, the orange chargers. They look great. So, I humbly apologize (and grovel a bit) to my sister. Yes, older sisters are not always wrong. It only took me 63 years to figure that one out.

Here is the (dare I say it?) fabulous orange charger
Pat used the ever popular Treble Clef flatware

  11. Well, OF COURSE the orange chargers look fantastic!!! Orange is a staple at my house! It's "the new red" as far as I'm concerned, and it looks great all throughout the Spring and Summer months. The orange you have here is that bright, juicy, eye-popping orange which is so different from the warm, subdued orange of Autumn. I love it!!!!! It looks great with all the other colors and is a wonderful foundation for the place settings. It really helps to showcase and pull that color out of your linens. Love it! Have a great weekend and be sure to floss after eating all that crow. :-)
