Celebrating Agatha Christie's 100 Years Tablescape

 Pat is a voracious reader of mysteries - all kinds - cozies, police procedural, thriller, hardboiled, noir, classics, etc. just to name a few. It is her favorite genre of books and she has read thousands over the years. Her favorite mystery author of all times has always been Agatha Christie. Undoubtedly, Ms. Christie is the favorite of many people. It has been 100 hundred years since her first novel introducing her most famous detective, Hercule Poirot, was published. Although she has been dead for nearly 45 years, her books continue to be popular - having been outsold by only the Bible and Shakespeare. So Pat wanted to set a table to celebrate such a grand achievement.

Pat chose a simple but sweet style for the table

At first, Pat was going to set a Christie novel at each place setting, but decided to just incorporate them into the centerpiece.

Autumn Plaid Tablescape

With colder Autumn weather setting in, Pat decided to set a table that suits this time of year. She didn't want to use traditional Fall colors - so she chose blue, beige, and off white for a bit of fun.

The dinnerware - "Martillo Almond" - also came from Pier 1 but many years earlier

Pat used a "Perwinkle" Fiesta(ware) chop plate for one of the chargers

For the centerpiece, Pat filled a larger wooden bowl with greenery and assorted pumpkins
