Castleton Rose Tablescape

Pat set this week's table with our newest "favorite" dinnerware - "Castleton Rose" (1950-1972) by the Castleton China Company. Pat recently found it at a local Hospice thrift store reduced from $300 for a complete set in pristine condition for 12 to $95. It was love at first sight.....

Pat started with an ivory colored tablecloth and then added ecru colored lace place mats

Although it looks like I didn't iron the tablecloth, I really did.....

Gold colored flatware seemed like the perfect choice for the place setting - "Antique Baroque" by Wallace

Glassware is "Omega" Marquis by Waterford

Pat mixed in more mauve and purple colored flowers to an arrangement she had already done

Ecru Lace Place Mats - from Lentz Department Store (another local store out of business)

Glassware - "Omega" Marquis by Waterford from Ross several years ago

Candles - from the Ferndale Emporium Company (a local kitchen and giftware store)

Indoor or Outdoor Dinner Tablescape

This week's table is set in a simple, casual style for indoor or outdoor dining. Pat chose "Sage" and "White" Fiesta dinnerware and added some floral napkin rings for color.

Just by changing the centerpiece, this table works well for outdoor dining. Fiesta(ware) is so versatile and mixes well.

Pat found the flatware at Costco a few weeks ago - "Queensgate" by J.A. Henckels 

This is one of Fiesta(ware)'s newer colors - "Sage"

Great for indoor or outdoor, the stainless steel "drinkware" is from Pier 1.

I chuckle every time we use these - I was too cheap to pay the full price at Michael's and even with the 40% off coupon, I said no....then after several months of sitting on a shelf and no one buying them, they eventually went down to 90% off. It was meant to be...…
