Mikasa "Silk Flowers" Tablescape

Holy cow!!! I was without a computer for a few weeks - now, hopefully, I have a working model. I was driving to Pat's house every week (OK - it's only a half hour away, but what a pain.....) to blog and post. Thanks to her husband, who spent lots of time dealing with my processor and having it repaired, I should be able to blog again at home. And a special thanks to the "kids" at Shaw Computer Service who spent hours teaching me and never charging me. (Everyone there looked like kids, but boy, did they know computers. And were they ever patient......)

OK - enough about my computer.....tablescaping....that's what this blog is about. Pat and I were out "thrifting" the other day and found a set of dishes at the Discovery Shop (the Cancer Society Thrift Shop.) It was a complete set of Mikasa Continental "Silk Flowers" for 10 - and only $10.80 (we bought it on Senior Citizen Day and got 10% off.) What fun! So, Pat decided to use it this week - and then, if we want, we can "pass it on" as a donation to be resold.

Pat mixed silver napkins and pink napkins - held by a gray napkin ring (actually, a simple curtain ring spray painted.)

My computer is still a bit "wonky" so I apologize if this posting is weird.........

Pat was in a colorful mood when she created the table this week. No color was off limits - purple, red, green, gold, and blue. She started with a champagne trumpet glass that we bought years ago as the inspiration piece and went from there.
