Sunflowers and Amber Table

Pat took pity on me this week - she had planned a beautifully elegant  black and white table using Royal Doulton's "Baronet" dinnerware. But I was really hoping for something more casual. Well, after giving into me and a few minutes of thought, here is what she came up with:
Pat used beige, green, and gold napkins alternately around the table

Flatware is "Twist" by Gourmet Settings

Pat layered our "chicken wire" placemats on top of the burlap to give the place setting more interest

From the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Burlap Placemats - from Tuesday Morning last year
Chicken Wire Placemats - Handmade (cut from a 12" roll of chicken wire)
Dinnerware - "Sunflower" from Pier 1 last year (but available again this year)
Bread/Butter Plate - Marigold "Fiesta" by Homer Laughlin from Replacements
Glassware - from Pier 1 several years ago
Flatware - "Twist" by Gourmet Settings from TJMaxx this year
Assorted Napkins - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Napkin Rings - Handmade from PVC pipe cut into 1" rounds and silk sunflower hot-glued on
Candle Holders - from Ross years ago
Amber Centerpiece Bowl - from Art & Old Things (a local antique store)

  1. I love the amber glass and I am a big fan of sunflowers. Your table is stunning with both. It is so country cozy and so very cheerful. The chicken wire place mats are such a new touch. It really makes me feel like I am out in the countryside.

  2. This table absolutely made me smile, ladies! I LOVE the colors and the casual elements: especially the chicken wire placemats!! I WANT those napkin rings and will start scoping out the stores at this time of year. Your table really makes it easier to edge into fall without losing the brightness of the summer sun! Thanks for sharing. Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
