Myott's Forget Me Not Mother's Day

The table is set this week with a set of dishes for eight that I picked up at the Cancer Society's Discovery Thrift Shop for under $20.00 (the few missing pieces that I replaced on eBay and Replacements is another story entirely.....) Anyway, Pat thought that the name of the dish pattern said it all for Mother's Day. Myott's "Forget Me Not" is a sweet and feminine vintage set of Staffordshire china that makes a perfect table for any mother.
Here's to you, Mom. We miss you.
Over view of the table

The dishes are a cream color - they go well with the ecru placemats and cream colored candles

Flatware is vintage "Wind Song" silverplate by Oneida

I love the dainty flowers and the rim of the plate

Try as we might, we never could find many dishes to go with the blue "Navarre" water goblets that we have. But....I think this table looks great with them.

Pat used assorted pieces of blue Depressionware around the table to carry out the blue theme

The Armani figurine is part of our Mother's collection

Pat made small silk flower arrangements in matching "Forget Me Not" soup bowls

One last look from the other end of the table

Where it came from:
Spode Blue Tablecloth and matching Napkins - from Gottschalk's (a regional chain of department stores long out of business)
Ecru Lace Placemats - from Lentz Department Store in the Victorian village of Ferndale, CA
Dinnerware - "Forget Me Not" by Myott from the Discovery Shop, eBay, and Replacements
Flatware - "Wind Song" by Oneida (discontinued in 1955)
Blue Water Goblet - "Navarre" by Fostoria
Champagne Glass - "Bubbles Galore" by Maxwell & Williams from Tuesday Morning
Napkin Rings - from Pier 1
Silk Flowers - from Michael's
Blue Depressionware Creamer and Sugar - from our collection

  5. Your lovely table is timeless and wonderful sentiment of "Forget-Me-Not"! The Navarre goblets are part of my Mother's collection which I care for now. I recently ordered china from Plaltzgraff and after the third time we finally received all the china we had ordered not broken! Next, while ordering a rare teapot from Replacements we received the spout sliced off at the body! Of course, they only had one so now I am having it repaired for price of the teapot and only fo show! I'm now off ordering for awhile!!!!! Hope you have a great week!
