Penguins and Santa Tablescape

Good grief! Just looked at the local daily quasi-up-to-date online newspaper. The top story's headline reads: "Winter Storm Warnings:  More snow, Chains control issued,  School cancelled, and What the Heck, 21-foot waves, too." Yeah, why not add that to the mixture??? What a wild ride for weather here on the coast of Northern California where we were getting used to drought conditions and oh so very odd temperatures. Now let's add snow (who owns snow chains???), cold, cold temperatures, extreme winds that create huge ocean waves, and if we are real "lucky," an earthquake or two.....

Enough weather! On to tablescaping and this week's Christmas table...Pat came up with a quirky Penguin tablescape for this week in red, white and black.

Flatware is "Fluence" by Oneida
Pat and I found the cute accent plates at Ross years ago
Pat used an assortment of "Black," "Scarlett," and "White" Fiesta(ware by Homer Laughlin
The "Black" charger is actually a Fiesta(ware) chop plate

One last look

Where it came from:
White Place Mats - by Calvin Klein Home from Tuesday Morning several years ago
Dinnerware - Assorted Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Macy's, Kohl's, and Replacements.com
Penguin Accent Plate - "On the Rocks" by Boston Warehouse from Ross years ago
Flatware - Ultra-modern glossy stainless steel "Fluence" by Oneida from Replacements.com
Red Goblets - Pattern unknown from the Ferndale Emporium (a local kitchen and gift store) several years ago
White Wine Glass - by Portieux Vallerysthal from eBay
Black and White Napkins - from Linentablecloth.com
Napkin Ring - from Pier 1 two or three years ago
White Tree Cones - from Michael's five or more years ago
Santa - from our collection

This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/
