Summer Hibiscus Tablescape

As we were working on this week's table, the sky was overcast with smoke and the air was thick from nearby fires burning in Northern California (not close to us, but still affecting our area.) Pat decided we needed some sunshine - so she pulled out the "sunniest" accent plates that she could find and set the table in bright, upbeat colors to cheer up the day.

Flatware is "Bamboo" by Cambridge
We found these Hibiscus accent plates years ago at Pier 1
Pat used one of our favorite "go to" sets of glassware - from the Dollar Tree

The arrangement of silk flowers is in a "Paprika" colored Fiesta(ware) large salad serving bowl

One last look

Where it came from:
Charger, Dinner Plate, and Bread and Butter Plate - "Meadow" and "Poppy" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Macy's and Replacements.com
Accent Plate - "Hibiscus" Ironstone from Pier 1 several years ago
Flatware - "Bamboo" by Cambridge from Ross years ago
Glassware - from the Dollar Tree (always available)
Napkins - from Linentablesloth.com (an inexpensive mail order company that features table linen and wedding supplies)
Napkin Rings - from Pier 1 three years ago
Lanterns  - from Pier 1 four or five years ago
Silk Flowers - from Michael's
Centerpiece Bowl - "Paprika{ Fiesta(ware) large salad serving bowl by Homer Laughlin from TJMaxx three years ago

This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

Not tablescaping stuff:
With smokey, overcast skies comes colder temperatures. This is what is on my phone currently:
I have the heater on......in the middle of Summer at 10:58 in the morning. It's a bit weird....

  2. I hope the smoke will clear away soon! But the tablescape is certainly bright and cheerful.
