Castleton Rose and Lapis Dinner Tablescape

Not formal and not too casual, this week's tablescape is set for Dinner (pre-pandemic of course - no social distancing or masks in sight.) Pat decided to use Castleton Rose dinnerware (she found a complete twelve place setting set including luncheon plates and serving pieces in pristine condition at the Hospice Thrift Store a few years ago for less than $80.) To tone it down a bit and make it more casual, she mixed it with "Lapis" Fiesta(ware) and added Dollar Tree glassware.

Flatware is "Cameo Gold" by Mikasa

The charger is a "Lapis" Fiesta(ware) Chop Plate by Homer Laughlin

Glassware is one of Pat's favorites - from the Dollar Tree

One last look from the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Charger and Matching Bread and Butter Plate - "Lapis" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com
Dinnerware - "Castleton Rose" by Castleton Potteries (1940-1972) from the Arcata Hospice Thrift Store
Flatware - "Cameo Gold" Stainless by Mikasa from Horchow several years ago
Glassware - from the Dollar Tree (still available)
Napkin - Handmade by Pat
Candle Holders - from our Depression glass collection

This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

  2. Oh, how pretty! I do love Castleton china - my grandmother had the Sunnyvale" pattern, and I do love that shade of blue, so to put them together is a sure winner in my mind. (And what a great find that set of china was!)

  4. Oh, my, I actually gasped when I saw the first photo of your table. That Castleton pattern is exquisite and I LOVE the striking blue chargers and napkins. I'm so glad you were able to figure out the new Blogger so you could post this table! It is really lovely, Ladies. Well done!
