Quarantined "Trip" to Paris Tablescape

Holy cow!!! What a week this has been. I don't normally like to dwell on what's happening "in the world" but this last week has been something else. Even in our little community, we have seen unrest and protests because of the killing of George Floyd. We are still seeing the number of Convid-19 cases increasing. Add to that, we have seen an increase in the number of earthquakes over the last few months and, for something "special," the drought is back. What else????

Pat was determined to raise our spirits this week - she pulled out a French-themed place mat that we bought several years ago from Bed, Bath, and Beyond (will we ever get that store back after the shut down is over?) and set a simple, sweet table that made both of us smile.
My favorite color is yellow - this table makes me happy.

Flatware is Italian "Vintage Countryside" by Ricci

Pat likes to use glass plates when the place mat is the focal point - these are "Milano" by Pasabahce Glass Co.

Couldn't get more "provincial" than this - glassware is from the Dollar Tree - simple, basic, straightforward design

One last look
Where it came from:
Place Mats - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago
Dinnerware - "Milano" by Pasabahce from Tuesday Morning several years ago
Bread and Butter Plate - "Sunflower" (active pattern from 2001) Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com
Glassware - from the Dollar Tree (still available)
Flatware - "Vintage Countryside" by Ricci from Tuesday Morning three years ago
Napkin - from Pier 1 three or four years ago
Wooden Flower Crate with Handle - from Ross two or three years ago
Crystal Votive Holders - from Tuesday Morning years ago
Yellow Votive Candles - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago

This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

Stay safe.
