Looking Forward To Spring Tablescape

With daffodils breaking through the ground outside, Pat decided it was time to set the table in anticipation of the coming of Spring. She used black and white as the foundation - one of her favorite combinations - and then used yellow and white daffodils to accent it.

We picked up these black and white accent plates at Pier 1 last month - right after they announced they were closing. Heartbreaking.

Another Pier 1 purchase - we bought the black satin finish dinner plates last year.

The charger is a "White" Fiesta(ware) Chop plate

Yes - from Pier 1 one or two years ago.....

Pat bought the black satin flatware at Bed, Bath, and Beyond

Good grief - how can we survive without Pier 1.....found these black tumblers there years ago......

One last look from the other end of the table

  1. What a striking table! I'm sad about Pier 1 stores closing even though I don't get to shop there very often. I really like those black and white plates, and the yellow daffodils are a nice contrast.
