Lenox Autumn Tablescape

Fires. Blackouts. Unseasonably freezing weather. Gusty winds up to 80 miles per hour. Earthquakes - yes, them, too. What else??? At least the power is back on for now until 7:00 PM tonight when the Power Company announced the beginning of our section's next blackout - then in the dark and cold and no hot water for at least 24-48 hours or longer for this "event" as they are called (third one in less than two weeks.) At least the fires are not close (we have three "small" ones burning in our county at the moment - nothing like the big ones in other areas.)

So - I am quickly writing this blog in case I lose power sooner than anticipated.
Pat's daughter was here this weekend and designed this week's table. As of this writing, she has been without power for five days and counting for this event.....

The place setting starts with two place mats

I love this pattern - elegant floral and fruit basket design with hand applied dots set off by gold trim.

The charger is "Mansfield" by Lenox - I "borrowed" them from Pat's daughter years ago and, shamefully, have never returned them. She graciously never mentioned it when she used them to set the table.....she's a sweetheart....

I look at the beautiful cup and saucer and think of all the work that goes into it - all the gold trim is hand applied in addition to the dozens of individual dots not to mention applying the decorative decals that make up the "Autumn" design

The gold trimmed goblets are from Pier 1

From the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Hemstitch Place Mats and Matching Napkins - from Pier 1 three years ago
Ecru Laced Place Mats - from Lentz Department (a local store sadly now out of business)
Charger - "Mansfield" by Lenox from Pat's daughter
Dinnerware - "Autumn" by Lenox from Wayfair, eBay, and Replacements.com
Gold Napkin Rings - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago
Flatware - Pattern unknown from eBay
Gold trim Glassware - from Pier 1 two years ago
Candleholders - from our collection
Horn of Plenty and Assorted Fruits - from Michael's

This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

  1. What a gorgeous tablescape! I love that china pattern, and layering the lace placemats over the solid ones makes a lovely backdrop for it. I hope your "power events" (or non-power events) are soon a thing of the past.

  3. Your events seemed like the worst ever then the pandemic hit and it's as if people forgot all you've endured. Heroic that you are posting tablescapes come hell or high water, or power outages.
