Haviland Clover Leaf Tablescape

Pat couldn't resist another St. Patrick's Day table. This time she used Haviland's "Clover Leaf" to set a more traditional style table.

Pat made matching flower arrangements using "Clover Leaf" gravy boats and silk daffodils (yes, there are fresh ones in the yard but it is pouring buckets of water outside so she decided to use the "most convenient" ones......)

The butter pat will be used to hold dinner mints

Flatware is "Sophia" by Argent Silver

The place setting starts with a bouillon soup bowl/cup and liner

The dinner plate is smaller than what we are use to - 9 3/4" across

To add more interest, Pat used a "Sage" Fiesta(ware) Chop plate as a charger. She tried a traditional gold charger but it seemed to make the dinner plate even smaller

Most of our glassware is big - Pat turned to Princess House "Esprit" because it is somewhat smaller at 6 3/4" tall for the water goblet and wine goblet at 5 3/4" tall

  1. This is beautiful; any Irish would be honored to dine at this table. I have my great-grand parents' Haviland on the Ranson blank and yes the dinner plates are a bit smaller than what we are used to. Thank you for sharing this!

  2. Oh, how pretty! Those Haviland pieces are so dainty and lovely, and the green Fiesta chop plate underneath sets them off so well. As always, you've set a beautiful table. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

  3. That is so pretty. The delicate curve of those dishes and how it shows off the gorgeous green of the bottom layer. I love it! Everything flows so beautifully.

  4. This is a gorgeous table - I love this Haviland pattern and have four each of salad and dessert plates. I especially like the little boullion cups with their double handles. A lovely and welcoming table!
