Lenox Holiday Christmas Tablescape

I've said it before but our sweet Mother was a "dishaholic" and passed on the disease to both Pat and me. Fortunately for us, one of the sets of dishes she started buying in the 1970's was Lenox "Holiday" with beautiful holly and berry rim and gold trim on its iconic cream colored porcelain. She continued to buy pieces for the next twenty years. So now we have at least sixteen place settings and lots of serving pieces. We think of Mom every time we set the table with it.....
The dinnerware is so versatile - you can play up red or green or just the cream color of the porcelain

Flatware is "Byzantine" by Yamazaki

The centerpiece consists of Santa surrounded by red trees, gold reindeer, and assorted packages

From the other end of the table showing the red cone trees (does it bring to mind some other famous red cone trees this year?? Sorry, remind me - no politics.....but it should stimulate some feisty conversation at the dinner table.....)
Where it came from:
Red Charger - from Pier 1 two years ago
Dinnerware - "Holiday" by Lenox from our Mother
Flatware - "Byzantine" by Yamazaki from Horchow two years ago
Red Glasses - from Pier 1 five or six years ago
Champagne Trumpet Flute - "Selection" by Cris d'Arques from Ross years ago
Ornament Place Card Holders - from Pier 1 last year
Red Cone Trees - from Costco three or four years ago
Gold Reindeer - from Michael's three or four years ago
Santa - from our collection

  2. Pretty setting! My great aunt had an extensive collection of this Lenox china. It was the first Christmas dishes I recall ever seeing. Thought they were gorgeous then and still do.
