Castleton Rose Tablescape

Pat set this week's table with our newest "favorite" dinnerware - "Castleton Rose" (1950-1972) by the Castleton China Company. Pat recently found it at a local Hospice thrift store reduced from $300 for a complete set in pristine condition for 12 to $95. It was love at first sight.....
Pat started with an ivory colored tablecloth and then added ecru colored lace place mats

Although it looks like I didn't iron the tablecloth, I really did.....

Gold colored flatware seemed like the perfect choice for the place setting - "Antique Baroque" by Wallace

Glassware is "Omega" Marquis by Waterford

Pat mixed in more mauve and purple colored flowers to an arrangement she had already done

From the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Ivory Tablecloth - from Gottschalk's (a local department store long out of business)
Ecru Lace Place Mats - from Lentz Department Store (another local store out of business)
Dinnerware - "Castleton Rose" by the Castleton China Company from the Arcata Hospice Thrift Store
Flatware - "Antique Baroque" by Wallace Silver Company from Horchow's two years ago
Glassware - "Omega" Marquis by Waterford from Ross several years ago
Purple Napkins - from Pier 1 this year
Napkin Rings - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond three or four years ago
Candle Holders - from Pat's collection
Candles - from the Ferndale Emporium Company (a local kitchen and giftware store)

  1. What a great find - service for 12 for $95! I would have snapped that up, too. My grandmother's china was Castleton, a different pattern (Sunnyvale) but with many of the same colors and flowers. It went to a cousin but I've gotten a few pieces of it, just for nice memories. This makes a lovely table, I'm so glad you shared it with us.
