Birds and Twigs Tablescape

A few months ago, Pat and I made a trip to our local Pier 1 and found "another" set of dishes that we couldn't live without (Someday soon, I am going to do a "Where do you keep it all?" expose to come clean about our addiction. I did it several years ago (Here) but now we have a lot more stuff....remember - you have to admit that you have a problem to begin to recover from it.)\

Anyway, Pat pulled out the new dishes today and set the table.
We bought both the dinner plate and salad plate in this pattern but Pat didn't want to use the salad plate this week

Flatware is "Montana" by Gourmet Settings

I love the blue goblets - they were a gift from our dish addicted cousin a few years ago (it runs in the family....)

Pat used simple "Harry Lauder's Walking Stick" stems from her yard as the centerpiece

From the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Twig Place Mats - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond two years ago
Blue Charger - Inexpensive lacquer charger from Michael's (found on sale after Christmas) and spray painted with plastic-adhesive paint
Dinner Plate - "Field Notes" from Pier 1 this year
Bread/Butter Plate - "Chocolate" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com
Flatware - "Montana" by Gourmet Settings from Bed, Bath, and Beyond three or four years ago
Brown Water Goblet - Mocha "Classic" by Libby from Kohl's several years ago
Blue Goblet - by Portieux (a gift from our dish addicted cousin)
Brown Napkins - Handmade by Pat
Wooden Bird Houses - from Michael's this year
Wooden Candle Holders - unfinished wood from Michael's spray painted to match chargers

  2. This table is so beautiful! I love everything about it, from the color scheme to the nature theme. I have been trying to resist buying those bird dishes, so it's a good thing I'm out of town right now or your post would have me heading off to Pier 1 immediately!

  7. I love this table! Those plates are darling, and the twig placemats and "stick" centerpiece are perfect with them. Along with the pale blue chargers and goblets, it all comes together in the plates and makes a beautiful table. Thanks for sharing it!
