Valentine's Day Table

We don't always set a yearly Valentine's Day tablescape for the blog, but like me, Pat was ready to do anything but more Winter tables. With another storm set to hit this afternoon, I thought I better get a few words down before the power goes out again......Here's what she came up with:
Definitely not frilly or fancy, this week's table is sleek and simple

Flatware is Kate Spade's "All in Good Taste." I have to admit that when we first got this flatware, I was really disappointed with it - it is quite lightweight. But the more we use it, I have come to love the versatility of the style.

Pat used a black Fiesta(ware) Luncheon plate

To add more color and change things up a bit, Pat used two placemats turning one around

From the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Black and Red Placemats - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago
Black Charger - "Color Spectrum" by Mikasa from Replacements and eBay
White Dinner Plate - "Everyday" by Food Network from Kohl's four years ago
Luncheon Plate - "Black" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Macy's
Bread/Butter Plate - "Black" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Replacements
Flatware - "All in Good Taste" by Kate Spade from Wayfair
Glassware - "Midnight Black" by Artland Glass from Target and Replacements
Black and Red Vases - from our collection
Candles, Silk Flowers, Valentines - from Michael's

We will be joining the following Blog parties this week:
"Dishing It! & Digging It!" at Rustic & Refined this Sunday:  http://www.rustic-refined.com/
"Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

  4. I love the sharpness of your table. The daisies are the perfect pop against the red and black. Using double place mats is a wonderful trick that looks stunning on your table! Happy Valentine's!
