Paint Your World Purple Table

When you see this week's table, you will know that Pat embraced the 2016 Relay for Life theme: "Paint Your World Purple." Pat (as well as her husband) has always been passionate about the Relay and has been involved with our local walk for years. Once again, she is a team leader raising money for completing laps around the track, and, in addition to walking, she is also in charge of the annual fund raising plant sale that is held Sunday morning of the Relay. And she helps set up the event and stays to tear it down. I am always amazed at my sister.......and very proud.
Purple everywhere.....in various shades

Flatware is amethyst "Ditto" from Ikea

Top plate is a "Heather" Fiesta salad plate by Homer Laughlin

Next layer is a "White" Fiesta Luncheon plate

Pat followed up with a "Plum" Fiesta dinner plate

The coupe shaped charger is a by Bernardaud

These shiny leather-like placemats have quite a history. Pat and I saw them at Pier 1 years ago.....no one wanted them even at a ridiculously low price (less than fifty cents each) because they were "ugly." Pat saw potential and bought them (I almost died......) She has used them over and over again through the years and I eat humble pie......They're not so bad after all.

The protective wrap is still on the candles - they are scented - that way they do not "smell up the house"

Pat made the napkins - she thought the material looked like "paint."

Dinner guest favors include a "Paint Your World Purple" refrigerator magnet and "brush" pen.

Pat asked her husband to spray paint these paint cans that she got at a rummage sale and then added the "label" to use for the centerpiece

You know Pat....attention to detail. Even Betty and her dachshund were dressed in purple. (This is a house of dachshunds....Betty "used to have" a spotted dog named Pudgy but now has only dachshunds).

show up too. So cute. I did my guest bath in various shades of purple and have really enjoyed it, as it is not a color I get a chance to use much............so I bet your table was a real hit. Very clever centerpc.
