Finally - An Autumn Table

After last week's sweet pastel table, Pat thought we should "beef it up" a bit.......well, more like "duck it" a bit. Here's the table she set:
I love the table - although as a vegetarian for over 35 years, I'm not "wild" about the theme.....Pat's promised to use the dishes again in a less "sports hunting" setting

The dinnerware is "Quintessential Game" by Queen's Potteries (this season at Tuesday Morning.) Flatware is my old everyday ceramic handled "Iron Brown" from Noritake (and I mean old....I've had it 40 years.)

The wooden charger is from Pier 1 last year

One of our favorites - Brown "Espresso" by Lenox

The vintage hand carved decoys belong to Pat's husband (they were his grandfather's)

From the other end of the table
Originally, Pat was going to use our Mother's "good" china for the table. Here's what it would have looked like:
China is "September Song" by Sango. It's not really fancy or expensive, but it sure has memories for us....

Where it came from:
Tan Tablecloth - Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Chargers - from Pier 1 last year
Dinnerware - "Quintessential Game" by Queen's Potteries from Tuesday Morning
Glassware - "Espresso" by Lenox (a gift from my niece)
Flatware - "Iron Brown" by Noritake (It truly is like iron....I've had it for forty years)
Bread/Butter Plates - Vintage "Forest Green" (1951-1959) Fiesta by Homer Laughlin from Replacements
Vintage Handcarved Duck Decoys and Duck Calls - from Pat's husband and family friend
Greenery - from Michael's and outdoor
Vintage "Reed" China - "September Song" by Sango (our Mother's over 50 years ago)

  1. Pat and Katie, it all looks great. The wooden chargers are perfect with your theme, and are beautiful. I'm going to check Pier I to see if they are available this year. Thanks for sharing and happy fall!

  3. I love both looks but the first one is my favorite. Love the vintage decoy accents. I like the addition of the green plates- makes it just that much more organic in feel. This is such a warm and inviting fall theme. Those chargers are fantastic!
