Yes, the candle is still in the protective plastic wrapper - it is a scented candle and I can't stand the smell. They'll be replaced with unscented white ones for dinner.

What a lovely color combination! I recently found some dark turquoise place mats at HomeGoods. I don't have a lot of that color in my dinnerware collection yet, but your table has inspired me to try to find some salad plates with a patterned turquoise design and set my own version of a chocolate and turquoise table. Where did people used to go to get inspiration for anything before the internet and blogging (I should be old enough to remember, but I really don't)?

ReplyDeleteOh, now that's pretty! I live in WV, where Fiesta is manufactured, and it is well-loved here by many - so practical, and so many colors to choose from, plus we have an outlet store nearby. I actually set my table this week using the square sunflower (color) plates by Fiesta as chargers. Visiting from the link party at BNOTP.

Love these colors. The white chargers and flatware help the colors pop even more. I don't own any Fiestware. I see it all the time but I stop myself from buying it mainly because of space. I just realized your chairs are brown- I always thought they were black. I like how comfy those must be to sit at.
ReplyDeleteI had an aunt who had Fiesta dinner ware, so I ate many meals on this bright, colorful pottery. Love the turquoise and brown combo. Beautiful table.
