Father's Day 2015 Tablescape

Our Dad was a kind and generous person who loved animals. We always had a house (and yard) full of assorted "critters" when we were growing up. After all of us kids left home (leaving it quiet,) Dad acquired an assortment of birds - much to Mom's dismay - to fill the "noise" loss. When Pat and I were at Pier 1 two weeks ago, we spotted these great parrot plates that we knew immediately were absolutely perfect for Father's Day!
Here's to you, Dad. We miss you.

  5. Nice you're honoring your Dad with a tablescape. Sure miss my dear Dad. Kind, gentle, appreciated every meal ever set before him. Not a critter lover like yours though. My Dad would get upset if our bubble blowing soap made dead spots on the lawn and he set a mole trap weekly for lawn care also. Dad's favorite was my Potter's Art Country Cabin dishes by Mikasa that were the first full set of dishes for 18 that I ever owned. He liked the rims on the plates, manly brown colors and heavy weight of them. My Mom was a frilly yellow flowers china lady. I love dishes & table top decor period. Love love love! Thank you for sharing your Dad's table with us.
