Rustic Easter Table

Since this is our second Easter table this season, Pat wanted to try something different from the last one. She thought a rustic table would be fun. She chose the very popular "Bunny" plates from Pier 1 and put a different slant on them.
The table (shown here with clear glassware. At the end are pictures with colored glassware to change it a bit.)

The place setting uses a rustic twig placemat and a very heavy charger.

Flatware is "Montana" by Gourmet settings - Pat chose it because of the "twig-like" handles

Such a cute plate on its own, but turns out it is very versatile, too

The dinner plate is "Spice Route" Paprika - also from Pier 1

Pat and I got a deal on these chargers -  fifty cents each at the Cancer Society's "Discovery Shop" thrift store on sale.

Couldn't resist these placemats from Bed, Bath, and Beyond

To dress up the table a bit, Pat used  inexpensive stemmed glasses (from the Dollar Store)

The whitewashed bunny is from Pier 1 this year and is part of a set

One of Pat's favorite tricks - a napkin ring turned into a tea light candle holder

From the other end of the table

Here's the same table but with colored glasses:
The clear glasses were replaced with a dark red tumbler and an olive green wine glass. I love the color but it does tend to "darken" the table a bit.

Where it came from:
Placemats - Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Green Charger - "Espana" by Tabletops Unlimited from the Cancer Society's Discovery Shop
Dinner Plate - "Spice Route" Paprika from Pier 1
Accent Plate - from Pier 1
Flatware - "Montana" by Gourmet Settings from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Clear Glasses - from the Dollar Store
Olive Green Goblet - "Diamond Point" by Indiana Glass Company from Cuddly Bear (a local "gently used" boutique)
Red Tumbler - from Pier 1 two years ago
Napkin Rings (both the black twig-like and faux wood rounds) - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Hemstitch Napkins - from our collection
Wooden Candle Holders, Candles, and Tea Lights - from Michael's
Metal Copper-like Centerpiece and dried flowers - from Michael's
White Washed Bunnies - from Pier 1 this year

  1. It is amazing how there are two such different looks just by changing out the glassware! Really nice. Hey, I just realized that you also do the Table for One blog, which is one of my favorites! The vintage feel setting you did this week on Table for One is really beautiful.

  4. What a treat! I love your rustic colors (and I especially like the colored glasses that reflect the rustic theme!) Your bunny plates are precious and I really like your placemats!! Your tables always reflect your talent and creativity, but this is sooo different for spring and it REALLY works! Thanks for sharing this: I never realized that Easter doesn't have to be all pastels. Well done!! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
