Another Amber Tablescape

Guess it's obvious that I like amber - especially amber colored glass since we seem to set lots of tables with it. This week, I talked Pat into doing another table using amber and some of our more unused dishes in our "arsenal" of dishware and tablescaping supplies. Once she got started, the table came together quickly:

The place setting

Not only are we experiencing a horrible drought, we are also experiencing very grab, gray days. Sorry the color is awful. The dinner plate is actually a beautiful blue that matches the blue in the accent plate and placemat.

We actually used this plate last week but it goes perfectly with the accent plate

We bought these plates from Pier 1 a couple years ago - and on sale........

Flatware is "Montana" Stainless Steel by Gourmet Settings

Pat pruned her "Harry Lauder Walking Stick" tree (Corylus Avellana Contorta) and used some of the branches in the centerpiece

Pat used amber compotes as candle holders

Then she used amber Depressionware sherbets around the table to add more color

One last look from the other end of the table

  1. I love this table: the color combinations are so unique and complement each other so very well. The idea of filling the sherbet dishes with flowers is a wonderful idea. You two must have so much fun working on these tablescapes together and sharing ideas. What a great hobby to have in common! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
