Happy Birthday to the "King" Tablescape

Time for our annual Birthday celebration tablescape to Elvis Presley. As most everyone knows, twice a year, Pat appeases me and sets a table in tribute to Elvis. Not that I like Elvis that much - I do, but I just like to challenge her and her table setting skills to see what she can come up with using the accent plates she bought me as a joke. Then, a few weeks ago, she made one of her "sorry I said anything" slightly sarcastic comments at Ross, while we were shopping, about a gold and red beaded crown we saw - of course, it promptly made me buy it for the Elvis tablescape (even in our sixties, we bicker all the time.......) Here's what she came up with for this year's table. I think she aced it.
Over view of the table

You can see the "inspiration" piece that started it all in the center of the table

The place setting

Flatware is "Gold Iconic" by Wallace

Pat used a red water goblet, gold/amber wine glass and clear champagne flute to carry out the color scheme

First layer of the place setting is a small accent plate that Pat bought for me as a joke......

A red salad plate follows

Next is a gold dinner plate

The red glitter-like charger adds a touch of glitz

We bought this charger at Pier 1 two or three years ago

The red napkin is wrapped in a gold overlay and held by a big beaded napkin ring

Ah Ha!!!! The inspiration piece - the "King's Crown"

Pat surrounded the crown with a wreath and red and white roses

A gold glass candle holder sits on a glass candle holder

Pat added small gold beaded votive holders and red glass beads around the table

Wow......

One last look from the other end of the table
