Fall White Plate Challenge

Each week, Pat and I participate in Cuisine Kathleen's "Let's Dish" (http://www.cuisinekathleen.com/)  blog party. Kathleen issued a challenge to all tablescapers for this week - design a Fall table using white plates only and one other color. Here's what we came up with:
Over view of the table

The place setting

Pat used this flatware last week on our other blog, Table for One Tablescapes, but it was just the perfect choice for this week's place setting.

Naturally, Pat had to use these over sized amber goblets and wine glasses

These amber cracked crystal pumpkins are from Pier 1

It seems like everything on this table is from Pier 1 - these plates are no exception. They are called Madeline.

The dark amber/bronze color of the charger is a perfect match to the amber pumpkin stems

White vintage napkin is held by a beaded amber napkin ring

Candle holders are Depressionware glass

The five piece flatware place setting - "Fluence" by Oneida

Pat used an assortment of amber pumpkins and squash in different sizes as the centrepiece - simple yet elegant

One last look at the table
Where it came from:
Tablecloth - gift from Pat
Chargers - unknown maker from eBay
White Dinner and Salad Plates - "Madeline" from Pier 1
White Bread/Butter Plate - "Racine" by Hutschenreuther
Flatware - "Fluence" by Oneida from Replacements
Amber Pumpkins and Squash - Pier 1
Amber Candle Holders - Depressionware glass from our collection
Amber Tea Holders - Bed, Bath, and Beyond
White Napkins - vintage from our collection
Napkin Rings - from Pier 1
Amber Glassware - from Pier 1
Taper and Tea candles - Michael's

We will be joining Cuisine Kathleen's "Let Dish" this Wednesday:  http://www.cuisinekathleen.com/

  1. The amber color is lovely -- perfect with the white dishes and for fall. But I'm surprised Pat didn't nestle those pumpkins and squash on a bed of straw (LOL)! I love the color of the charger, which I thought was brown until I saw its photo. Thanks to the two of you for another beautiful table!
