Spotted Cow Tablescape

Pat and I were at the Discovery Shop (the American Cancer Society thrift store) the other day and found a treasure - a wonderful set of candle holders. Now, not that many people would have wanted them, it's true, but I immediately saw the potential. And the money spent to purchase them goes for a wonderful cause. With anticipation and wild thoughts of another tablescape, I carried my purchase out of the store and set about to plan the place setting. (Pat, as usual, just rolled her eyes and accepted the fact that I was "losing it" again.)

It took a while to get the centerpiece together (paint, etc.) and get a few last minute replacement dishes, but finally, the day is here.
The table

Close up of the place setting. These dishes are fantastic.

One of two candle holders that started it all.

Elegant black water and wine glasses by Artland Glass from Replacements.com

The gorgeous white flatware is from Pier 1 last year.

Close up of the black/white napkin combination and ring.

The yellow bowl is from Waeschtersbach.

You can see the "cow" detail in this close up of the salad plate.

The dinner plate matches the salad plate.

Three samll metal milk cans from Michael's Craft Store were painted white and black.

You've met Ralph before. Here he stands with a vintage milk can that was given to me years ago by Silvie Moranda, a wonderful Ferndale Dairy rancher (and Pat's late Father-in-law)
