Although Summer has sort of missed us here in Humboldt County (even though it is August, high temperature so far this season was a "sweltering" 67 degrees - currently it is 59 degrees at 2:30 in the afternoon), Pat thought it was time to set a summer celebration for the tablescape. She gathered a few items around her house and mine and went for it......after seeing it, I knew it was definitely time to get the flip flops, cutoffs, tank tops, and sunglasses out.

Overview of the table - you really think pink.

Pat found these wonderful Flamingo salad plates at the Relay for Life auction in July.

Yes, that is real sand (and faux starfish.)

The centerpiece belongs to Pat's husband. He's trying to forget the fact.

Closeup of the salad plate.

This is Rose Fiesta. Homer Laughlin does make a Flamingo pink for those true flamingo purists.

The charger is by Bordallo Pinheiro.

Lemongrass Fiesta fruit bowl sits on top of a Rose Fiesta Bread and Butter plate.

Sand everywhere...........

Of course, Betty was dressed in pink.

Napkin rings were two shades of pink (PVC pipe spray painted.)

Just a last look at the table.
