Pat was in rare form this week when she came up with a pelican-themed tablescape. She found a large, metal pelican figure stored in my garage and that was her inspiration for what was to become our tablescape. (I thought that I had hidden it better, but, alas, not good enough....)
Where it came from:
Rope Charger - from Pier 1 several years ago
Charger Plate - "Color Spectrum" Sun Yellow by Mikasa from eBay and Replacements,Ltd.
Dinner Plate and Matching Bread and Butter Plate - Cobalt Blue (1986-2021) Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Macy's and Replacements,Ltd. at least fifteen years ago
Accent Plate - "Pelican" from Pier 1 nine years ago
Water Goblet - from our collection
Wine Glass - "Premiere" by Libby from a local store long out of business
Flatware - Cobalt Blue Primastone by Noritake from eBay
Napkins - Handmade by Pat to coordinate with the plates
Rope Napkin Rings - from Michael's years ago
Metal Pelican Figure - from Pier 1 years ago
Netting, Shells, Rope Balls - from Michael's
This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch: http://betweennapsontheporch.net/
I love that pelican! Seriously, I think it’s a wonderful piece. It certainly does not belong in the garage. It looks perfect on this table and those small plates with the pelican are just perfect for this. I love your cobalt blue stemware, and all of the accessories. This is really nice.
