Celebrating An Upcoming Birth Tablescape

This week's table was designed by Pat's daughter when she was here visiting a few weeks ago. Not the typical "over the top" baby shower pink and blue kind of table with lots of flashy decorations, this table is colorful and lively but simple. Purple and yellow colors add a touch of uniqueness.

The lilac colored wicker placemats are from Pier 1. They started life as multicolored, rather ugly mats that the store could not sell. When they went on sale, I knew what I wanted to do - I bought them and spray painted them lilac and never looked back.
Flatware is "Primary" by Noritake

All dinnerware is Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin

Glassware is French white milk glass by Portieux

Pat used my vintage white salt box as a vase to hold purple flowers
Where it came from:
Wicker Place Mats - from Pier 1 many years ago
Dinnerware - White and Sunflower Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from various places (both colors are currently active)
Flatware - "Primary" by Noritake from Replacements,Ltd.com
Glassware - White Milk Glass by Portieux from eBay
Checked Yellow and White Napkin - from Pier 1 seven or eight years ago
Napkin Rings - PVC pipe cut into 1" rounds and spray painted white
Figurines -Known as "Piano Babies" from a local boutique years and years ago
Vintage Salt Box Centerpiece - a gift from my parents many, many years ago

We will be joining Susan for "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch this Thursday: http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

  1. Very pretty table ladies and I love the soft colors. Very clever idea to spray paint the placemats and they look lovely!
