Something Other Than Fourth of July Tablescape

I know it sounds unpatriotic but the 4th of July is not a favorite holiday for me. The crowds, the noise, the fireworks, just do not appeal to me. My animals are scared to death - even with medicine to calm them. Worst of all, the little shacks quickly assembled a few days before the 4th to sell fireworks that somehow do not get disassembled for days or weeks afterwards drive me crazy. Give me Easter or Christmas or almost any other holiday....please! So given that prejudice, Pat took pity on me and skipped the holiday altogether to set this week's tablescape.

Italian-themed plates are by Ceramica Cuore. They sit on Spode "Vermicelli" chargers

Glassware is "Midnight Rouge" by Artland

For the centerpiece, Pat used an old basket filled with real and faux grapes

Say Goodbye to Spring Tablescape

Temperatures soared into the low 60's this week (yeah, I know, doesn't seem very high compared to most of the country.....but for us along the coast of Northern California, it was almost a "heat wave") inspiring Pat to set this week's blog tablescape with a Summer-like theme.
Pat set the table with "sizzling" colors and a large arrangement of flowers

The lemongrass flatware from Ross was the perfect color choice
