Another Winter Storm Post

Enough already! Two earthquakes ( one 6.4 and the "small" one 5.4), three "atmospheric river" storms that brought torrential rains for days on end, "bomb cyclones," massive flooding, huge landslides, major road closures, toppled giant redwoods, extensive power outages, and still in some areas, no access to safe drinking water not to mention the death and destruction that came with all of it. Can we get a break? The rain has stopped in the southern part of the state. It's our turn next....

Stop complaining. As Pat says, at least we have a roof over our heads (even though hers has a hole in it now and is on the waiting list to be replaced along with her driveway, and repairs to her water mains and to the damage to her new car...)  My sister - always the optimist. On to this week's table:

Sleek, Italian flatware is "Oblique" by Brandani
Pat took her color inspiration for the dinnerware from this great plaid napkin from Pier 1
"Fiesta(ware)" colors include: Claret, Sage, and Ivory.

Water and wine goblets are "Diamond Point" by Indiana Glass Company

One last look

Where it came from:
Sisal Place Mats - from Tuesday Morning three or four years ago

Flatware -"Oblique" by Brandani from TJMaxx last year
Glassware - "Diamond Point" by Indiana Glass Company from a local charity store years ago and from Replacements.Ltd.
Napkins - from Pier 1 two or three years ago
Napkin Rings - from Tuesday Morning several years ago
Wooden Candle Holders - from Michael's four or five years ago

This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

Happy 76th Birthday, Pat. May it be uneventful and boring. Enjoy your newly replaced toilet and everything else you have had to replace. You keep me grounded.

  1. Oh wow - that sounds like a lot of weather and things to fix! Hold tight down there! The table is fabulous - so beautifully green and springy. I particularly love the napkins and pillar candles! Hope things settle down for you, and Happy Birthday, Pat!
