Memorial Day Table

It's time to take a moment to remember and honor the people who fought and sacrificed so much for all of us.
Pat chose "Colonial" by Sakura dinnerware. She accented it with a Scarlett Fiesta(ware) bread and butter plate.

The dinnerware belonged to our Mother who was the original "dishaholic" in the family - just one of many sets that was passed down

Mom liked the pattern so much that she bought glassware and flatware to match

To start, Pat layered three place mats

Pat carried the "red, white, and blue" theme over to the centerpiece - simple vases of flags and assorted tea lights

One last look from the other end of the table
Where it came from:
All Place Mats - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond two years ago
Dinnerware and Glassware - "Colonial" by Sakura from our Mother twenty years ago
Flatware - "Colonial" by Sakura from our Mother years ago
Bread/Butter Plates - "Scarlett" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com
Napkins - Handmade by Pat
Flag Napkin Rings - also from our Mother
Assorted Tea Light Holders - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond four or five years ago
Blue Vases - from Pat's collection
Flags and Tea Lights - from Michael's

  1. A beautiful patriotic table! I like the stacked placemats and of course, the china, flatware, and glassware. How wonderful that they were your mother's and that you can use them now.
