Goodbye Claret Fiesta(ware) Tablescape

The Homer Laughlin Company just announced that they will be retiring the colors "Claret" and "Tangerine" to make room for the Fiesta Dinnerware's new released color - "Mulberry." Pat thought it would be a good idea to set this week's tables (on this blog and our other one) using the retired colors.
In addition to "Claret," Pat mixed "Rose" and "Ivory" Fiestaware. The bread/butter plate is actually an appetizer plate (Homer Laughlin stopped producing bread/butter plates a few years ago - much to my dismay.)

Since the place setting was quite busy, Pat used a simple arrangement of greenery for the centerpiece.

No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get a "clear" picture of the glassware.

  1. This table is simply pretty. I am always sorry when Fiesta has to retire colors. I have an acquaintance who has collected one place setting each year in the new colors as they are introduced. She has done this for many years and mixes the colors up to suit her whims or the various holidays/seasons. It is fun!

  2. Perfect placemats for that wonderful color combination of plates!! I don't live that far from the Fiesta/Homer Laughlin factory. They used to have great prices on their seconds, last time we visited the price on the seconds had gone up quite a bit, but you can still find some great deals!
